Goodnight Sweet-Pete

Yesterday Ruby and I were playing "Little Red Riding Hood." This is where I pretend to be Grandma and she pretends to be Little Red Riding Hood. The game can vary a little, she can be Rapunzel and I can be Sleeping Beauty but the idea is the same...I get to lay down and she brings me treats. It's a fantastic game except the treats are either fake plastic food or "pretend treats" !! 

So yesterday I was Grandma and she was bringing me some "cookies". I told her Grandma was really sleepy and just needed to close her eyes for a couple minutes. ( This NEVER works, but I always give it a shot:) SO she leans down , rubs my forehead and says " Goodnight Sweet-Pete."

I wasn't sure I heard her right , so I asked her to repeat it, sure enough she said " Goodnight Sweet-Pete ".  I had to hold in my laughter.

I always call her "Sweet-Pea" but all this time, she has heard " Sweet-Pete".

Adorable. I didn't even correct her. It was just so cute.
